RADAN to Highlight WebQuoting and Bending at EuroBLECH

RADAN will highlight its unique WebQuote service, along with offline press brake software Radbend, at the EuroBLECH exhibition in October.

The world’s largest exhibition for the sheet metal working industry is the perfect showcase for RADAN, as they will also be demonstrating the latest version of the RADAN sheet metal CAD/CAM software. RADAN 2013 provides greater automation while still giving the user manual options, if required.
 
It contains key enhancements to the navigational tools, increasing accessibility to functions; along with improved integration of Radbend; and the addition of colour making it easier to identify parts, both pre and post production.

But it is RADAN BV’s web based quoting portal for sheet metal parts, WebQuote, that is likely to be a main focus of attention for visitors to stand A23, in Hall 011. RADAN BV Managing Director Ton Derksen says it is a unique way of putting sheet metal working companies in touch with customers.

“A customer logs on to subcontractor’s website portal, uploads DXF-files of the parts they want to order, fills in the part details including material, thickness and quantity, and then submits the request. Within a couple of moments the quote comes through, and if it’s acceptable the customer submits the order. The subcontractor then receives the DXF-files, RADAN parts, bill of materials and order information via the WebQuote server.”

RADAN will also be demonstrating how offline press brake programming with Radbend overcomes the problem of the metal bending process often causing a bottleneck in the production line. By integrating offline programming software into the manufacturing process, throughput is increased on each machine, speeding up the process and improving efficiency.

At the EuroBLECH RADAN is introducing new Radbend CAD-interfaces for Inventor and SolidWorks, so Radbend can be used as a bend simulation tool for engineering as well.

Ton Derksen is also confident that he will be able to secure a reseller partnership for Germany from amongst EuroBLECH’s network of exhibitors and visitors.
